Hayn Marine
Hi-MOD Failsafe InsulatorHayn Enterprises, LLC, announces the winning of the IBEX Innovation Award for 2004!
Scroll down for more info on this prestigious award.Utilizing the same features that have made the Hi-Mod Mechanical fittings popular, this insulator has an internal ball-socket in the main body that threads onto the connecting stud. The nut is insulated from the stainless steel body by a Tufnol™ socket, preventing electrical transference to the insulator body or opposite terminal. Should, for any reason, the Tufnol™ be compromised, the nut will bottom out against the stainless housing. While the backstay will loosen, the insulating studs will remain attached to the insulator body-allowing the rig to be re-tensioned until a repair can be made.
Available with swageless terminals, swage terminals, eye and fork ends to suit any application. Please call for specifications and pricing.

November 2, 2004 For Immediate Release
The Innovation Awards program, organized by NMMA and judged by Boating Writers International (BWI) recognizes those products that best meet the following criteria:
The Hi-Mod Rigging Insulator won the hardware category due to it's innovative design. It is the only insulator that utilizes the insulating material under compression, rather than under tension-which makes it much less likely to fail. It also threads the stud into the main body and attaches a coupling nut, which means that should the insulating material fail for any reason, the nut will back against the stainless housing. This assures the insulator remains a structural member of the backstay, with only the electrical insulating capability being sacrificed. This is the only insulator on the market that can offer the reassurance of being failsafe while remaining competitively priced with the other products on the market. Contact Nance & Underwood Rigging and Sails for more information on your application. |
